YOST 5314 Theatre Activities - Youthwork in Theater
Jan Mandell is a pioneer in her field, carefully crafting the experience of overcoming injustice through improvisational acting practices. Rather than a traditional classroom setting, this class applies experiential learning by engaging in the activities Jan has so meticulously honed along with other students. Through a gradual cadence of engaging with one's neighbor and rapidly building trust with the group, extremely controversial topics were addressed in a healthy productive manner. Many of her activities were so profound they were incorporated into a seminar presented to colleagues at a statewide conference and are used frequently in my work as a 4-H program coordinator.
YOST 5301 Community Adolescent Sexuality
